$109K in Purse and Contingencies Available to USERA X5 Class

Following the announcement last month that USERA has added a new X5 class for the 2006 Mazda MX-5, USERA contingency partners announced today that they will be extending their contingency programs to include the new class. These contingency providers include Hankook, Hoosier, Kumho, Shoes for Crews and Phoenix Promotions.

Hankook will pay $2,750 per event as follows (requires five or more X5 cars in the event):

1st - $1,000 2nd - $750 3rd - $500 4th - $300 5th - $200

Hoosier will provide tires valued at $2,244 per event as follows:

1st - Six Free Tires 2nd - Four Free Tires 3rd - Two Free Tires

Kumho will pay $1,800 per event as follows:

1st - $700 2nd - $500 3rd - $300 4th - $200 5th - $100

Shoes for Crews will provide shoe product certificates valued at $150 for the top three class finishers.

Phoenix Promotions has product and service discount awards available for all USERA events totaling $1,100 per event.

The total purse and contingency prizes available for the new X5 class exceeds $109k for the remaining six races in the inaugural 2006 USERA season. Added to the previously announced Spec Miata prize totals, USERA and our contingency sponsors have made over $295k available to Spec Miata and Miata MX-5 participants in 2006.

The first event which the new Spec MX-5 cars will be eligible to compete will be Round 3 at the famous Mosport International Raceway in Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada on May 20, 2006.
