Qualifying for Round 1 of the United States Endurance Racing Association (USERA) Spec Miata Endurance Championship at Carolina Motorsports Park was very close with the top three teams all within one second.

At the end of the session, Chris Puskar (Puskar Motorsports) edged out Payton Wilson (King Rat Motorsports) for the pole. Brian Smith ( Full-Lock Motorsports) rounded out the top three in a close session that saw the pole position change hands several time during the 40 minute session.
