USERA American Touring Car Championship


ATCC The USERA American Touring Car Championship (ATCC) is a race series that allows teams and drivers to compete in low cost "near stock" touring cars. Like our counterparts in Europe, the American Touring Car Championship will feature colorful pre-race grid formations with flag presentations, hair raising standing starts and action filled sprint road races. Drivers will race under the flags of their home state and battle for overall Driver’s, Team and Home State Championships. Each of the six race weekends will include two 30 minute races so teams can minimize travel costs while maximizing excitement for their fans. The primary features of the ATCC includes:
  • Low Cost, "Near Stock" Touring Cars
  • Over 50 Makes and Models Classified
  • Double Race Weekends
  • Pre-Race Flag Presentation Grid Ceremonies
  • FIA-Standard Standing Starts
  • Open Tire Rules
  • Race 2 Grid Determined by Race 1 Finish Order
  • Competition Adjustment Ballast (CAB) Wieght System
  • Driver, Team and Home State Championships
There are over 50 different makes and models eligible for ATCC action. Generally speaking, if you have a car that was built to near stock toruing car rules, such as SCCA T2 and T3, Koni Challenge and certain NASA classes, you car is likely elligible for this championship. The official list of elligible cars can be found in Table 2.1 of the ATTC Rules.

USERA Endurance Championship


Endurance Championship The USERA Endurance Championship is designed as a low-cost, professional endurance championship. Classes include "ATCC" and club Spec Miata cars. Features of this championship include:



  • Low Cost, "Near Stock" Cars
  • Over 50 Makes and Models Classified
  • Race lengths from 1.5 hours to 24 hours, 3 Hours is typical length
  • Approximately Six Races Per Championship Season
  • Single or Multiple Driver Teams Depending on Race Length
  • Pre-Race Flag Presentation Grid Ceremonies
  • FIA-Standard Standing Starts
  • Open Tire Rules
  • Driver, Team and Home State Championships
The Endurance Championship has two classes that encompase the USERA ATCC cars and cars built to club racing Spec Miata rules. With over 50 makes and models of cars eligible, you are sure to find your favorite car in the series.

There are typically six race weekends in the Championship Season.

USERA Spec Racer Challenge


USERA Spec Racer Challenge The USERA Spec Racer Challenge is designed as a low-cost, professional sprint race championship based on the Enterprises Spec Race Ford. The Spec Racer Ford is a purpose build, spec race car designed for close competition and to highlight driver skills. Features of this championship include:



  • Low Cost, Identical Spec Race Cars
  • Race Lengths of 30 to 45 Minutes
  • Double Race Weekends
  • Pre-Race Flag Presentation Grid Ceremonies
  • Single Source Spec Tire Rules
  • Driver, Team and Home State Championships

Driver, Team and Championship Points


Each series sanctioned by USERA offers Team, Driver and "Home State" Championships with points awarded from 1st place through 40th place as follows:

Drivers also earn five extra points for earning the pole position, two extra points for leading any lap of the race, and five extra points for leading the most laps of the race.

State Championship points are earned by the highest finishing car from each state.

What Competition Licenses are Recognized?


The following organization’s competition licenses are accepted:
  • USERA Competition License
  • BMW Car Club of America Club Racing (Full Competition)
  • Canadian Residents holding ASN National Licenses
  • Confederation of Autosport Car Clubs (Competition)
  • FIA (issued by any sanctioning body)
  • Grand-American Road Racing Association
  • International Conference of Sports Car Clubs (Area Conference)
  • International Motor Sports Association
  • Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs (Full)
  • National Auto Sport Association (National)
  • Ontario Region CASC (Regional)
  • Porsche Club of America (Full Competition)
  • Sports Car Club of America (Regional, National or Pro)
  • Waterford Hills Road Racing Club (Full)
  • West Canada Motorsports Association (Amateur)
If you have significant experience with another group but do not have one of these licenses, send a copy of your racing resume and we will review your experience. We may grant exceptions based on significant additional racing experience.

Joining USERA


Membership with USERA is included in the price of your entry fee for all team members, including entrants, drivers and crew. Additional guests, family members or minors that do not require access to any "hot" area, such as pit lane, are not required to be members but may incure "over crew" fees depending on the event venue and rules being enforced by individual tracks or promoters. Check the event supplimental rules for any additional costs. Participants that are 15, 16 or 17 years old MUST complete a minor Participant Waiver form. Contact USERA for a copy this this waiver. Also note that some states may not allow drivers under the age of 18 to praticipate as drivers or crew members at motorsports events. While USERA tries to avoid hosting events in these states, any such limitation will be posted in the event suplimental rules.

To successfully enter any USERA event you will need to complete the following forms:
  • Membership Application - Everyone participating in a USERA event must be members of USERA.
  • Driver Bio Form - This form is submitted for drivers only. This is the biographical and human interest information that our track announcer will use to talk about you during race weekends.
  • Medical Form - This form is submitted for all participants (drivers and crew).
  • Event Entry Form - You must submit an entry form for the event you are planning on running. Entry forms can be found on the HOME and RULES/FORMS pages.
  • W9 Form - If the event is paying prize money awards, we must have a properly completed W9 form on file for each team receiving the prize money. No prize money can be paid until this form is on file with us.
